Week 10 -- 1st Area -- 1st Companion -- Hesperia, CA

August 11, 2014 -- 1:59pm

This week was full of meetings.  We had Zone Meeting and after that we had President Interviews.  The next day we had Zone Conference, which was really good.  That same day the AP's (2 Elders called as Assistants to the President) went on splits with us and it went really well.  We had to give Steve a blessing because he broke a rib and wanted a blessing.  He is doing great now.  We took Richard with us to teach a lesson and he did an amazing job.  We also got a new investigator this week.  We had a huge miracle with the less active family that found out the dad had pancreatic cancer.  He went to the doctor and they couldn't find any sign of the cancer.  He'd had a priesthood blessing the night before.  We'll be teaching the family tomorrow.  That was about it for the week.  We also had to chase off a meth head from a less actives house that we let in.  He had knocked on the door and wanted to talk to the mom and we didn't realize until it was too late that she didn't want to talk to him.  He was crazy.  We eventually got him out and got him away from the house.  Besides that our week was dull.  On the 23rd or 24th Elder Russell M. Nelson is coming to speak to the mission.  We are all super pumped about getting to hear from him.
