This last week was super awesome for us. We found two new investigators and they are super awesome. One of them was introduced to the church by her boyfriend who has been sharing the gospel with her. She has been reading the Book of Mormon and has been coming to church. The other one is a girl named Nicole. We met her at the house of one of our investigators and come to find out she is our investigator's girlfriend. We met her when we knocked on the door of our investigator, Brian. He was in the shower, so, we just talked with her while we waited for Brian to get out of the shower. All we did was just do some small talk with her. Brian then came out and we went into another room and we started to teach him. We then asked him if Nicole would like to join us for the lesson. So, he went and asked her and she said no. But, later on in the lesson she came in and we were able to teach her. She really opened up to us. She's just had a lot of bad things happen to her that have scared her mentally and physically. We testified to her about the gospel, and it went well. We had a second lesson with her later that week and it went even better. We did even more testifying and she just ate it all up. We taught her a lot about the atonement and about how much peace this gospel would bring to her. In the first lesson she told us that every time she'd meet missionaries that we all had this genuine smile about us and she told us that she wanted it. By the end of the second lesson I could tell that she was starting to have that genuine smile. She thanked us for what we are doing for her. She was also hugging the Book of Mormon we had given her.
I testify to you that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's authorized church. That the gospel of Jesus Christ has been given to us for our benefit. I'm so grateful for the blessings in this gospel that are only brought to us by the work that we put in.
I love y'all so much.
