Week 50 -- 3rd Area -- 5th Companion -- Hesperia, CA

May 18, 2015

It's crazy to think that I go home on the 16th of May next year.  So, I hit a year from when I'll be going home, and Thursday of this week I will hit my year mark of when I went in the MTC.  It is super crazy.  I'm starting to feel really old (in how long I've been out on my mission) .

This last week was another rough week.  But it was better than the last two weeks.  So, I don't have anything to complain about.  It's been really hard finding new investigators in our area.  We're so lost as to what to do.  We've just about tracted out all of the areas we can and we haven't really found anyone.

So, super awesome story that did happen from tracting!  We were out tracting and we hadn't had any success.  It was cold and it was starting to rain, but, we decided to keep knocking on doors.  We knocked on this one door and a lady opened up and we started talking.  We talked with her about a lot of things.  We then started talking to her about families and about how much the church focuses on families.  We then decided to talk to her about Family Home Evening.  So, we talked a little bit about what it was and what a blessing it has been to our families.  We then asked if she would like for us to teach her family how to do it and she said yes.  So, we are going back this Friday to teach her family how to do one.  It was super awesome, we were so excited when she said yes!

Thanks for everything that y'all do.

P.S.  Here is a picture of my zone last transfer, which was my first transfer as a zone leader. Only two people left (were transferred out of the Zone).  The tall red head and the short blond sister.
