Thanks Mom, for showing me the message from Elder Coburn's Mom.

(Here's the message my mom shared with me:  I thought you might enjoy this:  Last week I found a message on my facebook messenger that was dated August 29, 2014.  It had been hidden from view because it was in a messages filtered folder.  I happened to notice this messages filtered file after reading a message from someone else and was curious what would be filtered so I clicked on it.  That's when I saw this message:

Hi Lori.  I'm LaDawn Coburn, Elder Kyle Coburn's mom.  He was in the MTC with your son.  I just found Elder Niceler's blog and enjoyed reading it.  Love the photos of Kyle too (he's a goofball.).  Kyle was just transferred to Hesperia from the RC Tongan Ward.  I hope the boys get to see each other more often.

I was so embarrassed that I had missed this message!  I replied and explained what had happened.  She replied with a thumbs up.  :)  I also noticed that she is friends with Sister Debbie Christensen, Ethan's mom.  I can't remember if they were in the Ward before you left on your mission.  Dad is their home teacher.  They're a really nice family.  They have 4 boys, 2 who live at home.)

Things have been going pretty good for us. Last week was by far the best week that we had. The weekly planning session that we had for this last week, I felt like setting really high goals, and Elder Carver was totally cool with doing so. The high goals really worked for us. We didn't meet really any of them.  The only one we met was our baptismal date -- one.

We found a new investigator!!!! His name is Brian and he's a really nice guy. He does though seem to have a bit of a mental disorder that slows down his comprehension. The best part so far of our teaching Brian has been watching him start to recognize the spirit. During the first lesson we asked him how he was feeling and he told us that he felt really happy. It was so awesome!  Then, in our second lesson we followed up on his Book of Mormon reading and he told us that as he reads he feels happy. It's been awesome! Other than that we've just been finding, and I absolutely love it!

I did a full day of just service. It was on exchanges and I realized how much I enjoyed missionary work. I love doing missionary work, there isn't anything else I can see myself doing.

I'm doing good.  Things, personally, have been tough for me. It's been hard being a District Leader. I just have a tough District to deal with. I've really come to see what pure Christlike love can do, and I have a testimony of the power of prayer. Many of my prayers that I've said for my District members have been answered and I'm still witnessing many of them being answered right now.

I love you guys and pray for you. I think that I'm good (answering my mom's question if there's anything I need). I could though use some new garments. The ones that I have right now are getting really nasty. That's all that I can think of. If you do send me garments, I would appreciate, if you sent me some shirts that aren't crew neck, we call them the eternal smiles, they are the ones that the neckline dips lower. I would just like a few of those, and then the rest can be the crew neck. Thanks a ton! Love ya!!!
